In the southeastern mountainside of the Spring Dawn in the Dhyana Woods, There is a lime rock cave, which is 3 meters’ high, 12 meters’ deep and 3 meters’ wide. There’re three natural doors from the outside to the inside, and the holes are connecting or containing one the other. There’s a small hole in each of the front, middle and back room, linking the immeasurable underground part. If throwing a stone into the small hole, you can hear the after sound of knocking the bottom a long moment later. Thus, the local people call the hole Fallen Stone Hole.
From Yuan, Ming, Qing dynasty to the early 1900s, Taoists used to cultivate their morality here. A stele reading the Three Star primogenitors’ Cave is hung on the gate and a pair of couplet was carved on the mouth of cave. It means it’s no necessary to use candle because the cave can absorb the prime of moonlight, it’s no necessary to lock the door because it can be blocked by the cloud. In the front room, there is the Shield God’s joss. In the middle room, there are the josses of the three star primogenitors Fu (luck), Lu(wealth), Shou (longevity) . In the back room, there is the joss of Doumu who is said to be the mother of the big dippers. According to the ancient book of Beidoubenming Jing, no matter how poor you are, just worship Doumu faithfully, you’ll be lucky and longevous forever.
The three star primogenitors Fu(luck), Lu(wealth), Shou(longevity) are the immortals in Taoism. Fu(luck) is in charge of one’s fortune,Lu(wealth) is in charge of fame, official title and studying achievement, Shou (longevity) is in charge of health and longevity.
People say the immortals in the Three Star primogenitors’ Cave are very effective and they grant whatever is requested. In the past, it’s quite famous, but in the past decades, in order to rout out superstition, the cave was forgotten gradually. However, those who know this cave well would come here to worship whenever they came across difficulties and it turned out that they can get over the difficulties and improve the condition. |
