This well was carried by Weituo from Xiayuan, Huairou town. It’s in front of the Buddhism Guanyin Temple, to the east of the main hall. The depth of the well was more than 6 meters. It’s round shaped and made of stone. There were two strange points about this well. For normal well, it must be perpendicular, handy for carrying water. But this well was an inclined well. This is one point. This well was near to the top of Holy Spring Mountain, considering relative altitude, it’s 150meters higher than “Koutou”, but it has never dried. This is the other point. Actually, this is not so strange, refering to the Weituo carrying a well story.
